Or, perhaps you're looking to learn more about river paddling and plan your own trips? We offer a range of Group and Private SUP experiences from our Richmond, Teddington and Kingston centres, all based on one of the safest and most beautiful stretches of the River Thames.

We have some of the most experienced and friendly SUP coaches in the country - they'll ensure you have a fabulous time on the river, and teach you some amazing new skills! Click on our booking button to see what paddle board activities we have available, or scroll down to learn more about the different types of sessions that we offer.

Learn to Paddleboard

Learn to paddleboard on one of the safest stretches of the Thames at Richmond, Teddington or our new Kingston base.

Join a Group class, or book a Private session.

Available most days Easter - October

Discounted multi-session passes available.

These sessions are ideal for complete beginners as well as those who have paddle boarded a few times before. You'll join us on a paddleboarding class led by a friendly, experienced and fully qualified coach.  We'll show you the basics of paddle board safety, and paddle technique, including turns, self-rescue, and of course, how to stand-up!  And then we'll go on an amazing guided trip along the river - experiencing hidden islands, stunning views and loads of wildlife.

All the kit and equipment you need is provided  - all you have to do is turn up!.

On our Private SUP sessions you can book a 1:1 class, or a session for you and your friends or family (max 18 people - these are ideal for Birthdays, Hens and Stags!).

All our trips run from our Richmond, Teddington and Kingston sites. We always finish where we started so it's easier for you to make plans! Our sites have loads of eating and drinking options nearby (the Teddington site is actually in the beer garden of The Anglers pub!) so you'll be able to continue your day out after the session.

Once you've paddled with us once, you'll be able to return at a discounted rate on a variety of future trips.

Richmond SUP Adventures

All the sessions below are what we call our 'SUP Adventures'. These are Stand-Up Paddleboard trips with a difference, be it seeing the sunrise, cleaning up the river, or just heading to the pub! If you're looking for a lesson, or just fancy a chilled out paddleboarding experience then the SUP sessions above this box are ideal for you. The sessions below all require some kind of prior paddleboarding experience, but feel free to give us a call on 0203 488 1785 to have a chat and we'll see what works for you!

Plastic Clean-Up Session

Richmond

Easter-September

Prior experience required

Paddle Richmond needs you!

Help clean up the river by coming on a plastic clean-up session with us. We know the Thames is not just a beautiful place to paddle, but it's also one of the most important wildlife corridors in the UK. We'd like to make sure it remains a safe place for wildlife to thrive above and below the water.

On our plastic pick-up sessions we usually paddle from Richmond Bridge downstream past Richmond Lock towards Isleworth, Kew Gardens and Chiswick.  We’ll see plenty of wildlife and interesting river activity on the way, as well as helping to clean up the stunning river Thames.

We will provide you with gloves and a litter picker, paddle, buoyancy aid, and of course a board. After a safety briefing our experienced coaches will then take you out on to the Thames to help us remove as much plastic from the water as possible. You'll leave the rubbish with us at the end of the trip and we will make sure to recycle as much of it as is possible.

These sessions are not lessons, and anyone who signs up will need to have paddled with us on one of our group or private sessions before.

Dawn Patrol

Richmond

Various Days

Experience sunrise on the water when you join us for one of our early morning paddles on one of the most beautiful stretches of the Thames. The river is usually very quiet with amazing light and lots of wildlife at this time.

This trip is open to people who have paddled on one of our sessions on the tidal Thames before, and who are reasonably confident on their board. After a reintroduction to paddle safety and technique we'll head out onto the river.

Departing from either Richmond Bridge or Teddington Lock, we’ll probably have the river completely to ourselves, allowing us to enjoy the beauty and serenity of the Thames at dawn.  We can even include a short SUP yoga session if you like!

These sessions usually set off around 6am or 6:30am depending on the time of year.

Hampton Court to Richmond Expedition

Three to four hours paddling

Adults only

On this epic one-way trip, you will be paddling through the heart of the Arcadian Thames, initially upstream to Molesey Lock in order to get the best view of Hampton Court Palace, and then downstream towards Thames Ditton, Surbiton, Kingston, Teddington and then on to Richmond.  You’ll see loads of wildlife, and paddle past secret islands and historic palaces.  We’ll aim to stop for a coffee and snack along the way.

Note that this SUP adventure is currently only open to those who have paddled with us on the Thames previously, and is not suitable for Beginners. We have to work this trip around the tides so click on the booking button and look for the Hampton Court to Richmond Expedition to see what dates and times are available.

Paddle to the Pub

Richmond and Teddington

Evening Paddles on the Thames

Adults only

Let the stress of the working week float away as we take you on a 2.5 hour evening SUP adventure on the Thames with a chilled out stop for a drink at a beautiful riverside pub.

The Thames between Richmond and Teddington is an absolutely idyllic and very safe location for stand-up paddleboarding. This 2.5 hour session is open to both beginners and more experienced paddlers.

After a short briefing on paddle safety and technique we'll head out onto the river. You'll see the river quieten down as the evening continues, and you'll get to spend some time in a gorgeous riverside pub, before we paddle back to our starting point.

These sessions start from either Richmond or Teddington and typically take place on a Thursday evening in the summer. Times and location are tide-dependent, so click on our booking button to see what we have available.

Corporate Events

We can arrange a fun team-building paddleboarding, kayaking, or mixed-craft outing for your company or department.  All ages and abilities welcome.

If you wish, we can go on a river clean-up and remove plastic from the river. We can also include a stop at a beautiful riverside pub for drinks along the way.

For larger groups we can also arrange alternative activities - including outdoors yoga,  painting, traditional rowing boats, cycling or walking tours of historic Richmond.

We've arranged paddleboarding events for a huge number of companies - from global businesses like Ebay, Amazon and Barclays, to local Richmond and Teddington based businesses.
