Paddle Richmond: SUP & kayak on the Thames

We're a close knit team of friendly and professional paddlesports instructors.  Since we opened in 2019 we’ve had pretty well the same core team - no one has ever left, and only two have joined us!

 

We’ve taught over 15,000 people to paddleboard and kayak on the Thames since then - our sessions are super safe, and really fun. 

 

Occasionally, due to holidays we need an extra pair of hands, so if you’re a fun, motivated and fully qualified freelance paddleboard or kayak instructor, who lives close enough to Richmond or Teddington, please get in touch.

You will need to be able to deliver really safe, fun and informative sessions, where everybody - from complete beginner to experienced paddler - leaves having learned something new, and with a smile on their face!

You will need

• One of either​

  • Paddle UK Paddlesport Coach, Leader or Instructor, plus SUP Module

  • British SUP Association (BSUPA) L1 Instructor​

  • Academy of Surfing Instructors (ASI) L1 Instructor​

  • Water Skills Academy (WSA) Foundation SUP Instructor

• As well as​​

  • Paddle UK Paddlesport Safety and Rescue Training (or ASI / WSA equivalent)​

  • Current Outdoor/Aquatic First Aid Certificate

  • Strong personal paddleboarding skill level

  • Extensive solo paddleboarding experience on rivers and tidal water
